Dogs For Sale
Let’s see if you send this back…
A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and
set about nailing it to a post on the edge of
his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post,
he felt a tug on his overalls.. He looked down into the eyes
of a little boy.
"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of
your
puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat
off the back of his neck, "These pupp ies come from
fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep
into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held
it up to the farmer.
"I’ve got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to
take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out
a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly
followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link
fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their
way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else
stirring inside the doghouse.
Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably
smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward
manner, the little pup began hobbling toward
the others, doing its best to catch up…
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing
to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy’s side and
said,"Son, you don’t want that puppy. He will never
be able to run and play with you like these other dogs
would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence,
reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his
trousers.
In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both
sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made
shoe.
Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir,
I don’t run too well myself, and he will need someone
who understands."
With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked
up the little pup.
Holding it carefully he handed it to the little
boy."How much?" asked the little boy. "No
charge," answered the farmer, "There’s no
charge for love."
The world is full of people who need someone who
understands.
4th Edtion D&D
as most of you know i play Dungeons and Dragons, which those fo you who do not know is a table top role playing game. 4th edtion has been out for a few months now and we are going to that now, before that it was 3.5 and before that was version 3
i am not looking forward to it because they have changed things around so much that i will need to relearn every thing
we are getting everything set up, i doubt we will be playing today if we do it will be short and just setting up the world and role play….no real action or anything just getting the world set up and what not
i will post more when we get things going.
thanks for reading
Grandfathers Feeling Bad
Hello readers, i hope this post finds you all well
i come to you guys to ask that you keep my grandfather in your thoughts when you can, he currently is not feeling well and i think that your thoughts could help him out in getting better
i rather not go into detail, though it is nothing huge…at least i don’t think so, its something that i am not to familiar with but in the end it is not my business to tell, i am sure everyone can relate in some matter
so guys please keep my grand father in your thoughts when you can, lets call him “K” if you need a focus point
thanks guys it means a lot to me
The “Live” Update
can’t say that i am all that impressed with it at all, really no new features that pop out at me, other than the intergraded the calendar into windows life mail, which is a good thing i think
now i will say that the look and feel of all the programs are set up more for Windows 7 which is cool and all because lets face facts, they can’t stick with an old OS, not that Vista is old at all but there wanting to point out that they have a new one on the way so allow me to post some screen shots
Live Writer
Live Mail
Live Messenger (talking to my mom)
Live Photo Gallery (Pictures of my Ol’ Buddy LUCKY)
so far i am indifferent about them, it will just take some getting used to, if your wanting to use them i would say go for it but i will warn you that if you have Apatch or any other things modifying your messenger you wait a little while for those to be updated because they will not work for the new software
i’ll keep you updated on anything negative about them
Three little pigs
Priceless.
This is a true story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is.
They think so logically.
A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She
Came to the part of the story where first pig was trying to gather the building
Materials for his home. She read . ‘and so the pig went up to the man with the
Wheelbarrow full of straw and said: ‘Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that
Straw to build my house?’
The teacher paused then asked the class: ‘And what do you think the man said?‘
One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly …
‘I think the Man would have said – ‘Well, I’ll be damned!! A talking pig!’
The teacher had to leave the room.
